New dogs for my 365XT.

They're huge. I thought I was ordering just the outside dog that go's on the chain brake cover and it was the same size as the stock inside dog. It came with two new large dog's, new fasteners, chain catch roller. These things take up about two inches of bar length. I just liked the looks of the outside dogs. Wasn't looking to go bigger....guess I shoulda asked someone about them!

Ordered a set for my sons Johnny Red 2258. Hope they're not this big.

Yeah, I really don't need them this big. My son said, "just put your 24" bar and chain on it". The 20" b&c is fine for most of my needs. Plus it handles so well with it.

After buying some of the 30.00 fullwrap
Kits
That came with the west coast spikes.
I switched them out for the standard spikes.
Lost too much bar myself.
Nice wraps though oem.

Yeah, I'm going to swap mine for the standard length spikes as well.

I don't mind the big dogs. My 372 XPW came with them out of the box. If I need more bar length, I have bigger saws with bigger bars. I run 24" on my 372 XPW and only need more bar length here and there. If had a set of standard 372 dogs, I'd swap ya.

I like the big dogs for keeping the muffler off the log when I’m cutting bigger stuff, but it does suck how much bar is lost to them. I think I have a used outer small dog I could send you.

Nothing wrong with a 20” set up on a 372/365, well balanced and versatile.
