I'm really interested in the 562XP Mark II.
Lady moderator over at Chainsaws Forestry Forum started a "New 562XP" thread a few weeks back but the chief moderator took it down and locked it out.
Everyone I'm sure was wondering what that was about.
BTW CR888 some members over there were concerned about you. They were mentioning you haven't posted in a long time.
Is there in fact going to be a new 562xp as well? I had only heard about the 545&550.

Most feel they need to develop saw models like 590, 595 first.

But, if we draw lines between 550, 560&562 mk1, and compare the 550 mark I against 550 mark II, it would not be a surprise if we see 560 mark II and 562 mark II arrive before the other two bigger saw models.

I've only ruffly studied 550 mark II's IPL, flywheel bearing is the same as they use on the PTO side, ie, the weak bearing got stronger.
Since its wider (but not if we count the dimensions to the old bearing&seal) they needed to change the case a tad and also develop a new generator.

If 550 mark II work out flawless I belive we'll see the 60 cc mark II's next year.

I believe the 550xp used a 6202 bearing on the flywheel, which is cheap, and a proprietary bearing with integrated seal on the PTO side, which is expensive (like $40?)... Are you saying both bearings are now Husqvarna proprietary bearings? And can we get a price check in aisle four on these bearings, Bob?

say they intervene, jonsered can return professionally. The decision will be taken in mid-March. Will you know anything about this?

I’d rather have that stronger bearing.

Stronger is subjective. It isn't larger, like a 6203, it isn't using more balls or larger balls. It just is wider and has an integrated seal. Or am I wrong?

Wider = spreads the load out more

Hey Willard as you know FF moves pretty slow and I kinda dropped off a bit, the last thread I was following I think was yours the 550xp thread. Good forum though small with little drama & idiot ratio. I'll drop in say hello & check things out.

I think sales dictate a lot as far as what saws get attention first. I think with the new reliability improved 572 design it makes sense to get the good selling 50/60cc pro saws on the same page too overcome some of the perceived market concerns the mk1 5 series had. Sure us saw guys want to see a new 5120/595(or better still 5100:))/590 but having the mk11 550&562 hit the ground running shortly after the 572 makes a lot of sense. The brand kinda gets judged by those models. But I am far from in the 'know' just a thoughtful guess.

I am glad husky took this step and is fixing concerns, just wish they had called it the 552 so dealers lives would be easier for ordering parts.
Agreed. Mk11 is more suited to an updated ignition coil, clutch cover & a decal. This is a complete new saw. Its not officially released, perhaps they come to their senses.

Yeah I mean it's already listed on their website.
Yeah, very true. Its still stupid! But we're a funny crowd being concerned about a few letters on a badge (real 1st world issue ) but the main thing is we have what appears to be a new state of the art 50cc pro saw on its way packed full of Swedish DNA. :aaaaa:The rest is just little details.
