Been working on a jonsered 510 for a long time, finally have it dialed in, runs great WITH the top cover off.

Trying to put the cover on is frustrating, and I think my vent hose running over the top of the carb, the wires to the kill switch, or something, is hitting the linkage on the choke and throttle???

Runs lean or races like crazy with cover on, cover off it is fine??

Can someone post a picture of the way the wires and vent hose are routed???

Air filter is clean.

Any ideas would be helpful

Is your wires run thru the int boot?

Can you post a pic of how you have everything routed?

Sounds like maybe the intake boot. Make sure the rubber spacers are in place above and below the carb. If one is missing the top could be flexing the carb too much ??

Those are some pics, don't really have a set layout, just try to see what works. I think the impulse line is getting pinched and it is running exactly like a leaning out saw

Mine had a hole in the corner of the boot were it slides down in the case the wires go thru
