Whatever saw you want to noodle with, just buy a beat up clutch cover off eBay and cut the back of it off.

Best answer right there! It's the cheapest option and will clear better than any of the factory wide discharge covers regardless of brand.

That 572 you have is an awesome saw, I’d choose the 572 over the previous husky models.
But still a toss up between the 572 and the 461, both great saws.

How much are the 572 going for
I been looking on there US web site and they don’t have them on it yet

Nope I keep my hands on the wheel at all times.
I gotcha.
I like that idea...I may be too much of klutz to pull that off without adding a 2018 spin to the old joke, "Look Ma, no hands...literally!":yikes:

Must be Kenny's brother

I haven't seen him in a while and I'm a little worried cuz last thing he was talking about was having brake problems.

Best saw with stock sprocket cover for noodling was my 395XP, I think the outboard clutch drum helped pull out the chips

Here I'll post my custom sprocket cover in action noodling with my 066-28" a few days ago.
Never throw away those broken covers.

Dolmar PS-7300/7310/7900 with large bucking spikes and chain catch removed, though removing the chain catch is optional, I don't even bother doing it!

Dolmar PS-7310 & 36" B&C , 3/8" .058" 115DL full complement, chisel round filed chain - fully buried noodling beech.

Dolmar PS-7310 & 20" B&C, .404" .050" full complement, round tooth round filed chain - noodling red beech rounds.

Dolmar PS-7900 & 36" B&C , 3/8" .058" 115DL full complement, chisel round filed chain - fully buried noodling oak.

Dolmar PS-6400 & 20" B&C , 3/8" .058" 72DL full complement, semi chisel round ground solid carbide tipped chain - noodling oak rounds.
Small European spikes, not an issue when noodling shorter rounds.

I have a Dolmar 7900,Husky 390 and Stihl 660 that are all ported and I think the Dolmar clears the best and Stihl the worst. If they start to jam up just raise up on the back of the saw and most of the time they will clean up.
