If it was right, how much are we talking? If one could actually be found. I’m semi serious about this. If you have one or know of one I’d be interested to at least have the conversation. I’m gonna call out some west coasters @jacob j. @Frank bierce @p61 western not sure who else frequents the site, @Spike60 you’re another that might know, @Mastermind i know you’ve seen a few. They are a really cool saw and one I’d like to pass along to my boys someday so keep this post in mind when you’re traveling and visiting places this summer.

Thanks guys
Rod

All good leads but if I’m gonna blow a wad it’s gonna be nicer than those. Day 1, good start.

I have one now but I just think it’d be really cool to have a cherry version. Something awesome to pass on years from now. There’s a NOS crank kit and top covers on eBay, I have a line on NOS cases. I’d be stunned if there was still a NOS tank out there, NOS p/c I could believe. It’d add up to ridiculous I’m sure but so would finding a mint saw.

There are a few for sale right now on AS. Lately there have been a lot for sale. Maybe not up the same standard but usually there's not that many choices available. I say buy buy buy!!! Tax season is coming.

Seems to be. I’ve finally gotten to a point I can afford it and price has doubled in the last couple years.

Did you see the crank? It’s like $435 or something insane.

No it's always been it's bigger better looking brother. I feel like it's always has it's own nostalgia. Might not always been in the lime light like the 288 but it's the more quiet older experienced guy sitting in the corner laughing at your dumb ass.
