That's a clean 038. Very nice score. I'm sure you'll love it. Awesome old work horse. IMO they are easy to work on and they make a ton of torque. I love my 038's

That's definitely a low mileage masterpiece. If you ever run one, you'll see why those saws went the way of the dinosaur though.

Wow. Those are both very clean. Surprised that a saw that large and fairly old now wasn't used more. They were probably a little too much saw for the average homeowner. They probably had grand plans and decided to hire a pro and the saw sat.

Mine was a relatives that used to live in country then moved to town. Some one broke into shed stole couple saws and insurance told him to go pick a saw. It barly got used. when i started heating with wood i offered him 400 for it.

I think its too clean to use lol. Its just a shelf queen i guess.

I love them old saws and I'm not even a Stihl guy

That wrap and triple port muffler are probably worth what most 038s sell for as a whole.
