I took my 360 back apart because I wasnt happy with it.

So I started with the Hyway cylinder. I cleaned up the transfers, and the other ports. I widened the exhaust port .020" and lowered the intake port .010" to give a little more intake duration. No base gasket, and squish is .018". Also took .025" off the flywheel key to advance timing.

Its idling at 2800-2900 rpm, and it four strokes at 14,000-14,300 rpm. It's never ran this strong. I took it out and dropped a large pine, and an oak. Very pleased with this saw now.

Probably boring to most of you, but I'm very happy with the outcome.

What did you start with? Any previous port work on the Hyway cylinder? Muffler mod?

No it was all stock. Turned out it had a leaking base gasket, I knew the power didnt feel right. I just decided to try for a little more. Now it runs better than it did when I first got it.

You being happy with it is what it’s all about. Good job.

Have you learned how to use a timing wheel? What were the numbers on the saw?

Oem Jugs usually don’t need any intake floor lowering.

No timing wheel on this one. Just mainly cleaned it up to get it running better.
