That KR is a very rare & very nice car!

For those who don't know, the 427 cammer, with one 4 bbl, came from the factory with 616 Hp, and they sold a dual 4 version! Those were what MT, Gas Ronda, etc were running.

Ford also developed a dual overhead cam version, but after one NASCAR race, they were banned.

Yes
Extremely rare car.
That's why they keep it in the house.
I'm not joking.

They have a 3 bay garage under their house and is not visible from the road

One of my friends used to have a 63 Vette Split Window coupe (very rare for anyone who does not know).

He purchased a house w/o a garage, so he broke through the wall and put the car in his living room.

The building inspector was not amused!

I'm a Chevy guy learning as we go. Most off what was disscussed I already knew. Figured out the windsor/cleavland thing back in the eighties. We also had 350GT and Boss 429 cars come through the shop at times. I did run into a set of 427 "football" rods in a 390 truck block up for a rebuild. A friend and I found it in a pile at the local core supplier. Our machinist said they originally came from a 427 or 428 motor. I was lost at that point. Super heavy, a Can Am class part for road racing was what we suspected they were made for.
Does yours have special rods?

Seen, helped tune and test drove a 1970 SCJ 4sp Mustang. Good stickey tires and good street conditions. Still a beast of a factory built car. It had popups :)

1969 GT 500 Boss 429 ate it alive. Put three or four starters in that car. No easy task with headers. The easy part was having a floor pit.

Back in the late 80s I worked at a hardware store and did a delivery to William H Davidson's house of Harley Davidson. Quite a few bikes in that house. Some really cool and unique bikes.

Sorry for the detour...,

The rods do have the special Football rod bolts. Unique to all the 429 cobra jet
and super cobra jet motors. Never seen them in any 427's or 428's. The 428
cobra jets had a special bolt, it was 13/32 diameter. Just over 3/8 inch. All
the 428 super cobra jets have the 427 lemans rods with cap screws for bolts.

This car has wipers.

It's true. He said in the OP that it was radio delete. Probably didn't ship with windshield wipers either. For the uninitiated, that's how they saved weight.
We're they heater delete as well? I know some of the old Hemi cars were, and with no back window roll down either. Reverse wheels were another popular option.

The body is at the blaster. Should be ready any day to go to the body guy.
Car is not a heater delete. Just radio delete.

I have an 8-track player for it if you need one (fresh out of a '75 Step-side Silverado). :coti:

Any chance of getting some bare metal pics of the car?
