10-4, I’ve talked to them about other stuff. Still looking for a parts saw for my 2050.

I see them on fleabay from $35 and up, some with cranks. I was gonna see what shape my crank, etc. is in before I order.

Which 2050 parts do you need? @chainsawman2011 has a whole parts saw.

Just like to keep one around. Misplaced a spring the other day and had to wait a week for one. Could use a couple screws...something else I’m forgetting.

Cases are much cheaper than I thought, I just might. Gonna pull this thing the rest of the way down.

Got a free dishwasher or two coming ;-) got grandpas old air compressor working. Need to get an A/C unit for the garage for this summer.

Last I knew I wanted a pro saw to go between my 395 and 2050...now there are 8 chainsaws needing repair in my garage.

Sounds like you got some CAD.

Guys, anyone know if a Jred top cover will fit the 266?

Maybe if the Jred cover is off a 2 piece coil saw.

This might help better.

So...I stumbled on another 266xp which seems kinda strange here in Stihl country. It’s complete but rough, I was thinking to build one from two. (This is the one I posted about with the misfit full wrap)

...but they are both apparently good enough to run, (#2 the kid said he had running for a bit) and the first one still just needs a few parts.

So I guess there’s gonna be two! Gonna have to get the serial numbers to tell them apart, or make a thread for each or something.

Number 2 after a carb kit. Wow that was easy to kit and tune. Carried a screwdriver around all day tweaking on the 2139 and still can’t get rid of the bog.

So the coil with good wires came off saw number one which ran with gas down the carb. I cleaned everything up to build one saw from both...good wires coil now no spark, I got it too wet maybe? Will it come back when it dries out? Or splice the good wires from it onto the one that runs with trashed wires...

Usually the trigger module is what goes bad on the 2 piece systems. Put it in a oven at 200 or 250 for a hour or so in case water or moisture got in.

Wow, I had it in front of a little low temp space heater. I'll try the more hotter. Thanks.

I had read about guys washing saws, thought they were more impervious...

Wifey baked my coil for me last night while I was slicing juniper boards, tonight will see if it works.
