Pretty stoked about this saw. Wanted a saw to go between my 2050 and 395 and got my 2159 which didn’t work out so well, think this might fit the bill. Found the 266 in a junk pile while looking for an AV spring for the 2050. $40 and it ran. I’ll be back with more pics and info as I have time. I have several saw and vehicle projects in the works. @Spike60 here’s the project I was telling you about.

If I bought cases, I'd have to take it out of the "You Suck!" thread!

I'll tear it all down, inspect, bead blast it and/or chromic acid it and run it if it't not in a critical area - or maybe weld it. I'm thinking it's more cooling ventilation for the cylinder. ;-)

Bar oil will accumulate on and around the cylinder. Not a good scenario.
Unless you plug it with epoxy

There's worse things....

Better cases would be easier, and more reliable

Cases are much cheaper than I thought, I just might. Gonna pull this thing the rest of the way down.

Got a free dishwasher or two coming ;-) got grandpas old air compressor working. Need to get an A/C unit for the garage for this summer.

Last I knew I wanted a pro saw to go between my 395 and 2050...now there are 8 chainsaws needing repair in my garage.

Try www.chainsawr.com for your build.
Scott & Levi keep an extensive inventory.
Give em a call. Guaranteed they’ll have a set of cases.

Even if you don’t see anything listed or the item shows out of stock, chances are they have it.
