Heres the echo all muffler modded. It really not a whole lot louder but sure breaths better. This should also help the chain cover too. it was starting to melt it a bit from the exhaust.

My 372XPW and 357XP.

With both I used a 288 deflector with screen. I like how they came out.

(Just realized the 372 pics were taken before I got my new TSB on it)

Did a muffler mod to my newly acquired ms341. I cracked the muffler open like an egg and removed all the junk inside. I welded the muffler back together. I drilled a big hole in the muffler and added a short piece of pipe. I also matched the exhaust heat shield, gasket and muffler inlet to the exhaust port. Gave it a coat of high heat paint for a final touch. The saw seems a lot happier now. Throttle response is great. Wot is noticeably higher now. I had to remove the carb limiters and retune it.

A little bit. I always wear hearing protection and I am usually focused, so sound doesn't' bother me that much.

I just put this dual port muffler on my JMS Saws MS440. It sounds very different than the stock 440 muffler.
It is a Raisman brand DP muffler.

Did it need a little more fuel after the swap ?

I added one in the left side above the recoil also. Right where MMW puts his on his 066's. Little louder. Maybe more snort. Looks cool.

About to mod a couple 044 mufflers. Mine will have a duel port cover on it and was thinking of opening the factory hole to the size of the deflecter on the side. Any ideas?

The 288 husky deflector fits on the lh side for a 3rd port ,and can still run a screen .

Original port was so small it looked like a crack in the steel.
It now has dual ports and a skeletal baffle

Currently baking on some fresh high temp black paint

First attempt at a muffler mod. It's my ms241. I'm happy the way it turned out, it was a little beast before now it's a monster.

muffler mod I did on a 359 xp. I trimmed the tabs off of the deflector and put 5 tack welds to hold it on. There's 2 7/16 holes I drilled under the deflector.
