Hello everyone! I’ve acquired a MS660 and I would like to convert it over to a v-stack because I think it looks cool, I’m also going to be in the market for a 40” bar for it as well, I have plenty of saws with 36” bars so I’d like something a little bigger.

Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated!

I believe his name has come up before while doing research on this subject, what happens to the port in the metering side of the carburetor since the K&N won’t cover it like the stock filter.

Awesome, now how would I go about ordering a V-stack from digger Dave?

If you block it make sure the cover has a small hole.

I talked to Dave about this setup for an 066 at Randy's GTG. He said he's got 'em, pm him after I get home. PM'd him and he said he'll be on the road till Tuesday so PM him on Wednesday. If you pm him on wednesday he should be able to get both of them sent. Maybe save us both a little time and be easier on him for sure.

You do know that you won't be able to run the carb box cover right?

There were several there and I asked what i needed to look like that. He said it was a velocity stack and a 2-stage filter and it should bolt on pretty easy.

That is only a reminder that the entire black filter base plate needs removed before installing the v-stack. In other words, you'll have an open view of the carb all the way around when done.

You can make a plate to cover out of steel, UHMW, or the like to cover the carb box some.

I’m not too worried about the carb housing being exposed, it’s part of the appeal of having the v-stack, I clean all of my saws after every use with air, so I’m not worried about the particulates that will inevitably collect there

Do you have any pictures or examples of this? I figure having some cover will help keep the housing a little cleaner.
