Sorry if asking silly question.but a 650 cylinder wont fit an 064 correct i heard there diff and piston part numbers are diff.correct me if im wrong

Piston and piston pin part numbers are different from 064/ms640. Though they show similar dimensions. This is positively an ms650 jug and slug, the proper wrist pin and bearing will come with it as well as the rings. All in used but good shape

That eas my very next question a new 064 piston cost twice as much as a 650.so my next question would be will it work on an 064 with no problems?i have heard both yes and no.i do know a guy who had a 650 and the top end was bad and my buddy who is stihl master tech put a 660 topend on it .im not sure if he had to modify it or not to make it work

I don't see why not, as long as the skirt clears the crank. I'd check for you but I just sold the last of my 064 stuff before I pulled this top end.

Bolt pattern is different on a 650 that on a 064. The 650 uses 6mm bolts and the 064 uses 5mm bolts. But.........it will fit on a 064 with minimal effort.

Yes sir, I believe we're clear on that. Can this 650 piston be run in place of an 064 piston on an 064
