I asked my dealer yesterday. They looked it up and said they are in the system and they could order one.

It’s easy to check then if you’re in your dealers shop.
If indeed there’s an 462 in Stihl online system, all you have to do is place an order in the version you like.
Just put in your basket.
If you press UPDATE the system will indicate with a red no availability or with a green availability and propable delivery date.
My dealer taught me the Stihl system to handle my orders straight at his computer to get rid of me cause i ve drived him crazy enough.

The curiosity came up, because my dealer was having a hard time getting a straight answer. So I was inquiring. Then his Stihl rep called this afternoon, said maybe spring.

My dealer just called me and said he placed an order for a few 462s. Said they may be in as early as Friday. I'm in New Hampshire so they would come out of northeast sthil which is in Conn.
