I was at my Stihlership today and either they seriously haven't heard about this saw or they are playing dumb.

Not surprised. Bet money my dealer has no clue either; they had no clue about the 661 before or after it came out; or any other new model. They never heard of a Stihl Light bar until I went in and ordered one.

I was a little surprised the place I go to hasnt heard about it. They have really stepped it up on having parts and stuff available I was thinking they would be a head of the game.

What is the release date again for this saw over here?

That's the thing, we don't know. Supposed to be August 28th in Germany but...

I am not sure if this has been shared anywhere yet but if you can get past the German, skip to about 3:00 of the video there is a pretty good look "under the hood" of the saw.

Well, I know German and I've been introduced to Swiss-German - that guy doesn't sound like either and I made out only individual words!
The guy sounds Scandinavian to me, possibly Swedish?!

To be fair, it is still a Germanic language.

Sounded a bit Norwegian or Swedish to me.

One problem I see with the 462 is you have to remove the whole top cover to clean the filter. Plus you need a tool to do it. Smh that's foolish imho

Absolutely agree with you 100%

Not too unusual. Same as my MS261 as well as the MS362. The J-Red I have is the same one piece design although I do prefer the clips that retain that top cover. I am missing one on my 261...
