Jeff actually there’s an absolute need at least for 2019.

Stihl is trolling Husqvarna which is left with a 70cc saw as a flagship (572) and therefore Stihl presenting saws at 60-66-70-80cc so Husky can go crazy!!! Who would ever believe Husqvarna doesn’t have a big enough saw for the realwoods production professionals :flamethrower2::jaja-no:? You can troll Husky owners for decades with that. :aplastao:

2019 will be a tough year for Husqvarna, for sure! Only new saw announced is the 500g heavier and stronger 4.1hp 550xp (and 545). My dealer told me (he was also in malta on the secret 550xp mark 2 presentation) before 2020 we will not see a bigger saw from husqvarna than the 572xp. So Stihl has the 80cc+ market alone and under full control (at least in europe) when all big Huskys (390, 395, 3120xp) are sold out from the dealer shelves. At least on paper, especially the 500i is hard to beat for husqvarna even in 2020 if they come up with a 572 based 80cc saw, but we will see. Of course, Dolmar is still competetive with the 7910 but we know the big selling names

So what Husqvarna presents is a (hugely bad) saw that finally got the same power with Stihl 261 but weighs like a 362.

Husqvarna seeing future with at least 2 generations behind saws...

Well imagine myself with 462 asking the Husky purist with a 550: what’s your horsepower??? How much your saw weighs???? Non stop laughing until the Husky owner disappeared back to his dungeons...

We all forget the strength of the crankshaft and bearings of the latest generation of these Husqvarnas. These new bottom ends revile a MX motorcycle engine's.

Husqvarna has a good base now to put a larger displacement P/C on their flagship saws. Then weights would be a non issue.

A 550XP can be a 60cc
562XP a 70cc
572XP can be 80, 90, 100cc.
Just my two cents.....

I keep hearing this about the new Huskies but why didn't they build them that way in the first place?

650/660

034/ 036?

024S/ 026?

290,310,390

230,250

Those German get a little cra cra.
I don't know what they were thinking with the MS650 Lol.
My first year '84 034AV was a turd, couple of years later the 034 Super was like night and day increase in performance .

046 Magnum introduced in 1995 was a good move seeing the old school 272XP was going out and the 371XP was coming in.

The 242XP and 246XP then on to the 346XP were a class of their own.

Absolutely but WHEN???

As a Manufacturer especially as Husqvarna one of the two major league You NEVER NEVER leave a gap at FULLY PROFESSIONAL CROWD.

Who cares if you can drop a Honda CR 500 engine inside a saw, when you don’t have nothing to fullfill the gap??? It’s MISTAKE!!!
