The 034 is off and I couldn't put my finger on why and then I noticed that I didn't put the screen back in the muffler and it has to have it.

This will be a spare time build so it will be a slow one. Would like to bounce around ideas so speak up if you have any. View attachment 20582
You should replace those stock black n white things and get crome replacements so it looks like thisScreenshot_2016-12-14-18-46-31.pngcrome makes things faster lol

If you don't mind me asking...
How can you identify the 034 super cylinder if it's loose in a box full of cylinders, compared to the 034 or 036?
I'm interested in this as well.

I can tell u a quick way on a few. If you see an intake tit, it's a 46mm 34. If you see 1125 on it and there's a decomp, it's most surely a 48mm late 036/MS360.

How one differentiates between an 034S vs. Early 036 non decomp jug is beyond me. Maybe that's what Jason means about the jugs.

Does early non-decomp 036=034S jug?

The fins are different also,I'll see if I can get a pic.

034 super cylinder is a little bit bigger overall,to use a super cylinder on a 036 requires some trimming on the top cover.

I have a 034 super here that I'm fixing up. It didn't have a muffler spacer or a cylinder heat shield. It just has a thin metal gasket between the muffler and cylinder. I don't know if anyone has been into the saw prior to me. It's got a KS cylinder and has the original 034 super muffler with the big internal deflector and the heat shield on the front cover.

Mine too. No shield, early west German saw. It's ported, but not cut. Easily cuts faster than my ported cut 036. They're angry

Take a pic of the jug and post if you can.

I have a running 034S. I guess I could do the same.
