Selling this saw for parts as it had the bolts that hold the oil tank on come loose and lock up against the flywheel, it broke off one of the flanges, broke one off in the flange and the other came loose, I'm confident you could jb weld the one flange back on and use it like nothings wrong, piston and cylinder look great and it fired right up on gas in the carb.

I'd like 50 bucks plus the ride 20170508_192042.jpg 20170508_192216.jpg 20170508_192223.jpg

Bump also have another one, a little better shape, p+c looks good and fires on prime.

75 bucks for that one. Both of them have a clutch cover

I didn't even know there was a 280, is it essentially an 028? Or are there differences?

It's some kind of a semi pro hybrid type thing. It's a hermie saw for sure but I guess they are fine, maybe someone who has run one will speak up

I rebuilt one. Run pretty well.

Difficult assembly. It's a clamshell that also has a 2 piece half plastic and half metal/tank/handle.

there a good running saw only made for a short time then sthil took them off the shelf I have one and you have to go over the screws every so often or the ones under the fly wheel back out and get wacked and tear things up. I ran mine every day clearing power lines till I got a husqvarna 365sp. the ms280 is built just like a ms290
