building two saw's from a box of used dealer parts , not going to well. found your site by ording parts from HL and copied a shop manual from the site' that got me straightened out . my only question ,coming off the cylinder with the impulse hose going to handle ,carburetor area where does it go , my carb s have no barb. thanks' for your time.

Attaches to the carb base. There is a nipple(barb) you hook it on to just before you attach the base to case. Then carb to base and impulse gets read from there.

I'd say it like this,
Under the rear part of the handle. In the corner, there’s a barb, which it fits onto.
It’s fiddly to fit. I can’t remember if I fitted the rubber boot to the cylinder first or not
