I counted a 4-5 second improvement comparing the before and after. Comparing Scott's cut times, the fastest I could come up with for the after video is approximately 42 seconds vs about 47 seconds before.
That's exactly what I had

I wonder if stihl has plans for following the introduction of the 462 72cc with a 462 magnum 77cc?
Who doesnt like more? The saw that Scott has on his bench really surpised me. I was keeping my expectations low when I picked it up to cut firewood at Kevins gtg.

I feel this saw was very well designed on the functionality and service points.

the first few changes showed good gains in cut times. and the saw felt stronger.
then making other small changes, the cut time show losses but the saw feels stronger.
so I feel the wood is inconsistent.
I picked a vid that showed about the best cut times so far.

so is that as clear as mud? or do I need to add more dirt?

So they make two versions of this thing? One m-tronic and one with a regular carb?

It seems like they have both versions but I don’t think I have found any with both in the same market. Carbed version seems to be in areas with the worst fuel supply. Eastern Europe, Russia and South Africa so far.
My local Stihl dealer has the non-CM on display, but both CM & non-CM versions are available.

Same goes for the MS261/362/441/661, CM & non-CM available.

Pricing is way too steep for my liking, dealer generally doesn't give in to any wiggle room, 25% VAT doesn't help either.

EDIT:
There is no non-CM MS241, I posted it wrongly.
My apologies for causing confusion!
I removed the MS241 from my original above post.
