Both were ported?
I think the boss had a 462 as well.
What is the series number on the muffler or under the top cover? Is it the missing 1142 ?
Yessss. I told my instructor that was probably it. They didnt skip 1142 for no reason.
Thank you for the pic Scott!
On another note, I wonder why they have revised the top cover 3 times?
Whaaat?! There was a 462 in Tennesee, so close, and I missed a chance to run one lol
Top over was revised cause the first one got cracks because of the vibrations.
Hey mate, did that ES light bar come stock with the saw? Mine came with a led bar.
Its an option I believe, costs an extra few $
I have actually taken it off and fitted up an 18" Tsumura to tackle some of the nasty timber I have lined up.
I'm a bit late to this thread, but I want one of those coils! Any idea if those coils can be used on other saws.
I agree with the comments about having the strato and intake timing the same. The engine can't begin the intake cycle until both the transfers are closed. The intake cycle occurs between transfer closing and TDC.
Likewise, the base compression continues to increase until the transfers open. So, having both strato and intake at the same opening point maximizes both functions. There may be something to gain by having them staggered, but having them open at the same time is a good starting point.
Nice setup, should cut unreal with that 18".
Such a tease
Save some candy for me.
I don't think I can. lol
She's awful purdy...
