Anyone have even 1% of an idea where I can find one of these in either used, new, oem or AM?

Or even sell me one?

They are like rocking horse s**t over here in the UK. Or ebay US tbf...

Hate the plastic ones that I have on my 262xp..

Thanks!

You have to have a later model 262 crankcase to get on to seat properly. The way they attach to the crankcase is different. The plastic ones have the two tabs that go into the case, the metal one has a metal leg that sits down into the case.

Yep, had the same issue with a 154se that I put a 254xp cover on. I dremeled the leg to fit. Everything else fitted nicely once the bar nuts were tightened.

I know..... it's a joke, can get 61-272 series and 281-288 etc and pretty much all other models easy as pie...

But the 262xp which is IMO a legend is not available..

I'll keep my eyes open..
thanks, I have a search set up on ebay, but as of yet (2 weeks) I have had zero luck over here. I do not mind if it is 2nd hand and has to be repainted. Just their is too much flex around the handle pin on the plastic

I found some more on ebay. That one for $130 is from a guy that always jacks up the price 200%. The lowest I could find is $80 for a new OEM. If your search doesn't include the word "handle", might want to add that 1 too.

I think I have found that one. But with shipping and import fees it comes to over £100 Sad times.

Is the 262 the same as a 266? If the Op isn't interested and it will fit a 266, I'm interested in it.
