OEM blades for ours are same dimensions but don't have the cuts in the lift section. The G6 blades are lighter.

I just ordered some of the G6 blades to try out. We use a Lazer X 60" at work where it's mostly sandy, the Rotary low lifts have worked great for the price. If the G6's suck, going back with the Rotary blades.

Just bought a set of G5's today. More like stock OEM blades.

Stick to either the G3 or G6. Don't waste money on the G5 because they are usually only a couple dollars cheaper than G6's and the main difference is the carbide grit which does seem to help the blades keep an edge.

The G6 blades make the mower run a little rougher. A lot heavier than oem blades. I was worried about vibration and the belt wear.

I have heard that the gator blades perform the best with leaves. I had a few leaves left when I first put my gators on and they seemed good for that but I really didn't have much to test it with.

The first question is do you mulch, side discharge, or bag? All three take a different blade and some blades can do all three but I think a purpose made blade will get you better results.

I thought all of the G series had hard weld on the blade edge (Fusion)?

From my understanding they came out with the G5 for mowers that were under powered and didn't like to spin the G6 blades, so they made them closer to the stock thickness of 0.205".

The book doesn't say fusion with the g5's. Some other Oregon blades like the 91-312 says fusion they are an exmark high lift. (Works good on the HD 52)

Oregon website shows Fusion for both G5 and G6 blades. G5 is stock OEM type, G6 is HD.

I also ordered a set of scag/husqvarna Oregon blades to try as well. I think those are 91-623.

My OEM SCAG blades are very hard blades. They hold their edge well. They are mulching blades.

I will have enough sets of blades to last the whole life of this mower. Have 3 sets now and two more on the way.

I have a scag wildcat. I use the scag high lift blades. Tried gators and some other aftermarket blades. They just don't seem to do as good a job as the scag high lifts on my mower. Used to have a John Deere 445 and the gator blades worked excellent on that mower.

I agree. Scag oem blades have given me the best cut so far. G6 blades are very heavy and do well in the fall. They mulch leaves well.

IMO Gator blades are much harder than the stock Husqvarna blades on my GTH27v . The Gator blades chip/break , and my stock blades did not .
