I know most of us want the "fastest" saw but I'd like to take a poll and see which big saw is the most dependable.....day-in and day-out. It can be stock or ported....your choice. Once ported, I'm sure they're all very strong....stronger than stock. I don't think a saw a few seconds faster than another brand or model means much in the woods.

395, bullet proof bottom end, oil like crazy, and parts are cheap and readily available.

If I had only one choice to head off the grid with, I'd choose the 394 because of the intake block.
Even though I said that I'd still sneak an 066 to bring along.

The 395 isn't my personal favorite saw, but it's probably the most over built, ruggedly designed saw in it's class.

I'd go 066. I use the hell out of them and they never seem to break.

    066 for me.
the outboard clutch and stupid chain adjuster on the 395 are not fun at all when trying to maintain a 36" chain

Are you guys saying that the 066 is your favorite saw in this class, or are you actually saying it's stronger and better built than all others in it's class?

well, the OP asked "what ...in your opinion...is the most dependable" 90-94 cc saw.
somehow that got shifted into "who makes the best"...
so no... stronger or better built was not part of the original request.

but what the Hell...its a slow news day so...
