Well elms thrive in limestone. Good low pH soil.

That's ass backwoods boss. Lime raises the pH. Low pH soil is acidic.

I just seen this thread, I’ve read the whole lot, it’s good to see peeps making the most of the seasons food, and what can be better the free mushrooms. Umm tasty mushrooms..

Takes me back to my magic shooroom days, not that I would enjoy them these days, although I went picking with a friend a few yrs ago(4/5), and I fully enjoyed it (search & rescue thing ) and handed them all over to my friend at the end.

I've been out a couple times and haven't found anything. Still pretty chilly here though. I'll give another try on Saturday. Supposed to be damn near freezing here overnight tonight and then ramp up the rest of the week. Hopefully we get a little moisture in there during that time.
