Thats a nice one
decent.was building to resell but it had a little corrosion damage in the very bottom of the crankcase.must have been ran on ethanol.the bearings were super crusty.
later in the spring i may try some porting or take it down to see what rattler can do.

The one I have the dealer that sold it to me(off craigs list) said was the same way the used the bottom end out of one and the topend from another.

i have another 359.can't remember why its on the shelf.it was a complete tear down too.i think i shelved it to modify the muffler shown.may tear it back down to ad crank stuffers to it.
this makes the third 359 i have done and im really liking how easy they are to build.i'm slow but from bearing install to finish i think i have 3hrs in it.not counting tear down and clean up which was 1 1/2 hrs.

seems like all 3-series saws are pretty easy to work on, even the clamshells. recently gave two 345's new intake clamp/partition/flange, and while its a bummer to have to tear them down COMPLETELY, its pretty easy to do so.
