Im selling my low hours mastermind ms261cm as a power head only. This saws D.O.B is 2014, but I purchased the it new, right form Randy in the winter of 2015. Runs great and needs nothing. This saw has about 10 tanks of fuel run through it. Im just down sizing my fleet and is the only reason why I'm selling it. Im looking to sell just the power head for now, but have the stock bar and a few chains that can be included in the sale for an additional cost. Im asking $675 shipped for the power head, to the lower 48. Only except PayPal friends and family. Any questions just pm me or text/call 518-858-4595. Thanks Chris

I have about 4 tanks through my new 261c from Randy. Man I love that saw, it's awesome.
Couldn't be happier w/ it.
GLWS it'll make someone very happy.

Couple of questions. I am not up on the newer Stihl saws. Is there more than one version of these Mtronic 261's? Version 1 and version 2 like the 362's?
And where was this saw made? With the serial number starting with 500.

Yes this is like the 362, where there are different versions. Maybe someone else can decode the serial number?

Hmmm. 261's are a little confusing.
Randy sir. Any insight on this saw? Version 1, version 2? And the serial number origin?

First version 261-CM Mtronic. Second version has different clutch cover and weighs slightly less than the first version.

I've ported more of these saws than any other saw. The MS461 is a close second....

Great saws....
True dat. I sold mine to get a NOS 357. I made a full bar noodling cut to dry it out for shipping, and thought to myself I am, for sure, selling the wrong saw. I had others I could/should have sold, they just didn't have enough value for the deal I needed. I ran 3/8 on mine, .325 may be slightly better?
