Ok guys. I have 2-5105s. First one up is my personal saw. It's a 5105H. Hasn't had a lot of run time on it from me. Originally I bought this from @stihl livin. Saw#2 is a combination of saws. I took a 5100S with a brand new top end but crank bearings had spun in the case and a 5105 with a lightly scored top. Ported the newer P&C and put it one the 5105 but used the 5100 muffler. Both saws are ported.
Saw-1. $675 PHO
Saw-2-$525 PHO

(SOLD) Heck let's make it saw #3. This is a heated handle 5100s. The doner for saw#2. I can tell you for sure the bearing is spun in the case on the clutch side. It needs a new intake boot. The P&C are actually pretty good. I'll show ya what I mean. But I am selling as a parts saw for someone that may want to make there 5100 a heated handle 5100. Lol.
The slight black carbon scoring is all that's wrong with this top end it's on both cylinder and piston but as you can see. It's not bad at all.

What all is involved in converting a 5100 to heated? Do I need to split the case, or just take a bunch of parts off & replace with the heated parts?

Damn you Carl I so badly want a "H" "G" "W" or what ever a heated handle is...

is the parts saw complete...minus a "case" for all intents and purposes ?
and can you get me a case for how much more ?
swap the parts and have a "H"....

As long as your cases are tapped for the generator it should just be part swapping.

Lol. H=heated,
Yes both saws where running when I made one out of them. Then i stole the intake boot. On the case I'd just have to see what a new one costs.

These saws are still for sale. But just so y’all know I’ve put them into the work circulation. The heated handle saw is what I’m cutting firewood with and the other one. Well I’ve been using it to clear road trees for the township. :)
They have a 210 stihl. And that’s not for this guy. Lol.
