The AM Elastostarts I have tried failed almost immediately. The Huztl 660 recoils seem to be working well the the factory rope, and I also installed a few on 460s that are in pro use and have not come back.

I know they sometimes make changes to things, some things get better, some not (the 660 fuel caps with the new flat gaskets suck. The older ones with the O ring gaskets were much better).

Also, quality control is never what it should be, so there may be some bad batches.

The Huztl/farmerteck ones let go pretty easy but I have found the Hyway ones to be good.
The starter assembly is out of the box Hyway so will see how it holds up

Post the final outcome of that. I'd deeply appreciate it.

Frank went well today.
11000 jenka Australian spotted gum, twice as hard as oak.
full chisel 325 and a 9 tooth.

I have modified that chain by chopping off every 3rd cutter to see if it makes a difference.
Testing tomorrow.
That video was running 98 RON at 25:1 with Fuchs cart race oil which is a blend of full synthetic and caster
Will be running the same oil tomorrow but in 106 RON Avgas

Good job! Frank reminds me of the Glock 22 I Frankensteined together using parts scrounged from Ebay and Gunbroker. Not much on looks but a good shooter!

Yep. Feed it the Lee 401-175-TC bullet over 4.2 grains Bullseye. At a very consistent 900 FPS, it's like having a 15 shot .44 Special.

I used frank in a disk stacking competition today and geez he cuts nice.
Modified 16” echo mount 3/8 lp bar running square filed Stihl RS

The idea is to get as many disks sitting on top of each other using ng a set length of timber in a fixed time limit

I got 14 and the 15th ended my chances.
The winner with 40 years experience got 16.
