Thanks you covered that better than I could have for sure. Oh and thank you for the block again.
No problem, I had saved all the pics from when we talked about it, so it was easy! Lol

No problem, it has a good home now. Can’t wait to see her in action!

I think it was a good education showing all the differences. Curious to see what the timing numbers are between the Kart and CP blocks are.

I know a member who was taking timing numbers from the various 123cc Mac's. He found the regular 797's had several versions, and had markings if you knew how to read them, with the earliest being the most aggressive. The CP's were slightly different than the SP's (The "C" may be different yet). I have no idea where his data went. I do know that a super 797 cuts like a CP so I believe their timing must be pretty close to the same. I'm sure the 101 variety vary quite a bit in themselves. I'd guess long track vs short, torque vs rpm HP requirements.

I just timed these with measurements and an online calculator, so it could be off, I like the wheel more!!
Stock 101aa 174/131
Stock 101b 176/130
Stock cp125 I think it is an early block 164/123
The kart exhaust port is almost 2.5mm higher

I will do and assembled numbers later

Dropped off some parts at Terry Ives today so he can put together the block. We talked about carbs and Reed blocks as well. For now will be going with stock Reed cage with 2 stage reeds. It was pretty tempting to go with the set up in this picture though.IMG_20190611_104008.jpg

Looking good, for running a long bar, the stock reeds and carb is probably best for torque

Well I talked to Terry Ives today. He has the block bored and piston made. He also cut the boost ports like a 797. I will be going to his house on Monday to bring parts for assembly. Getting pretty excited now.

I missed this thread have too do some reading too catch up
