I know it is a 2 year old post but I just installed one in my 795L.
The Decomp valve was missing and replaced by a bolt screwed into the port. I could not start the saw in this configuration, too much for this 73 year old guy.
I finally found one (both the valve and the seat) on Ebay 3 weeks ago and installed it. I will give it a test start tomorrow.
Why in the world would someone remove the Decomp valve?
Same powerhead on my 895 Mac, it is a dream to start when using the Decomp valve.
The 795L:
Look close, you can barely see the threaded insert seat. I had to drill & tap the cylinder for the seat, then index the seat & drill a port to line up with the discharge port from cylinder to exhaust. Yea, it is dirty, I will clean up the carbon when I paint the saw this winter.
