Dolmar, Porting, Muffler Mods, Tractors, Music, 2-Cycle Oil. This thread is great! Only thing that could make it better is videos of ported saws with muffler mods running 40:1 with a tractor holding the log and music in the background.

This could be arranged...

How is the smell Randy?

It doesn't have any. I like that. Those "good" smelling oils stink like hell to me.

Oh and by the way Mister Moobs- I haven't stopped listening to "The Devil Makes Three" since you posted that the other day. Awesome stuff.

I saw them live in April. Well worth seeing if you get the chance.

The little wife and I are seeing them in February.

I need a grapple for the L48. Your thumb on the mini is sweet

I like it Kevin. Spend the money on a good one. I bought an eBay thumb, and the hinge on it was 2" ridgid over 1-1/4 with a 1" piston. Very sloppy and tore itself apart in no time and kept bending piston rods. I reused the claw and bought steel and had it bored to hinge on the bucket pin, got the longer bucket pin, and made a removable fixed support, and had it all welded.
All in I could have bought the Kubota kit and been ahead...
live and learn...

May I ask how one knows if the fuel restriction is in the seat vs the main jet?

Has anyone ever drilled out the transition holes under the Welch plug for improved throttle response?

I'm guessing a main jet won't ever be rich enough, but a seat would run out of gas.

On this carb I've tried just enlarging the feeder in the main nozzle, still too lean. Then the feeder jet to the idle welch plug area, still too lean. Then finally the seat. Then it was fat enough.

This time, I started at the seat.
