Here it is fellers.......



I like that it has a inboard clutch. It's not as stout as a outboard style......but reports are that this saw has 6203 sized main bearings......so that shouldn't be an issue.


Looks like Husky is taking serious steps to combat the hot start issues that have plagued their other A/T saws.

I've put several tanks of fuel thru it......and this is the first time I've even checked the air filter. Very good particle separation in this unit.



Not a speck of anything in here.......very good filter system.

Looks a lot like a 562 here.......no real surprise.

But......it has two rings on the piston. I for one am very glad to see that.

Now.......let's move onto the muffler. Looks restrictive as a mfer to me.


I'm glad to see that they beefed up the front.....




These little holes feed into the area under the deflector. From what I can see, there are four of them.

I'm gonna work on allowing this thing to breathe.....

I don't see a place yet to put the dead kittens...maybe the crankcase has an extra pocket?

The muffler mod didn't really make a huge difference. Best cut was 24.2.....about 1.5 seconds faster than stock.

So, IIRC this is Strato and AT. Is it plugged up just for noise abatement? My 260 had a single 10 mm hole for all the exhaust to go through. WTH are these engineers thinking?

Gotta say that whole can looks pretty dry inside...
