I don't think this saw hasn't been started since last October.

You really like piss revving a saw till she pisses herself all over the floor don't You.

A/V looks awfully soft on that saw, vibrates a whole lot at idle whenever You don't lean her to the left!
Is that a common thing on this saw model?

You've engaged that chain brake as often as I do throughout an entire year - on all my saws. :p

Mine does that stumble for 20-30 sec, that cleared up fast Steve. If I pull the trigger it falls on its face
The video i posted was the first time trying to start that saw since October.

Just went out and ran it some more. Almost no hesitation after startup this time.

This saw only has a little muffler mod.

Perhaps that’s all it needs. I haven’t touched mine yet.

Have any of you tried reducing the pop off pressure a little? My 421 was a bit of a dog off idle until I reduced the pop off pressure. That's where I'd start.

On the reeds you can also very very slightly bend the stoppers up, I mean just a tiny little bit. Now I know this is a bit different because these reeds are for the Strato passages, but a little more time open, should give you a little more air for combination.

Did a little more tweaking to the 3601. Running 13,800ish but still needs 6 or 7 seconds of warm up. With a normal load cutting it's running in the 10,000 rpm range with quite a bit of torque.

But I let my demo guy run it and he's keeping it. We're both thinking it will run with a 4300/421. Will do some video with both saws in the same log.

I would still like to see one of these built to the hilt. May have to send mine off. ?
Things have gone a bit QT on this saw over here Corey. The fact that they are not that far from the price of a Ps-420/421 sc on a good deal day (there more than a ps 420/421 at the moment) and from the one i used hasn't the same grunt in overall comparison (not a shock really). The ps-35 is the same power and a lot cheeper without being a poor build design , so the EA3601/Dolmar Ps- 352 is a bit "Niche" market at the moment.
The 36o1/352 is far more of the future design alongside the ps-550 and ps-6100 with the reed /Strato configuration but its a difficult choice over the ps 35 due to cost for me , let alone a ps 420/421 thats still cheeper.
Time and emission controls may be a decider in the end i suppose.

Folks, looks like we have a strong nominee for “piss rev” of the year 2018! Lol

Dolmar version (ps-352) is going for 110$ around here, probably because they want to get rid of em to start selling em under Makita's name.
Makita version is ~300$
