I have a Makita 6401 im looking to sell. It was a Home Depot rental that I bought from wknd lumberjack a couple years ago. It has served me well, but it’s time to send it down the road. Piston looks good through the exhaust port and the saw runs, cuts, and oils well. It’s decomp has been plugged and the hole in the top cover has been siliconed. The saw is pretty dirty, as my air compressor died a few months ago and I haven’t replaced it. There is a very small piece of the clutch cover that chipped off in the upper corner where the inside dog sits. It’s small and doesn’t affect anything. It leaks bar oil when not in use, but it’s a fairly slow leak and is probably an easy fix. This saw is no beauty queen, but is mechanically sound and would clean up pretty well. Run it as it is, or upgrade to a 7900.
