My first shot was a seven foot 4x4 from a straight branch several years ago with a HF version of a (brain damage) well it clamps to the bar which is guided by a 1" x * at 90 degrees to the wide surface of the 1 x . Last evening a chain for a 60" bar was sharped on Simmington for milling a log or two in the yard waste dump. The 15 footer will have to be rolled out from the edge of pile. It grew on me.
Enjoy safely
Did some black walnut that has been sitting for a while. Gave them to my dad to plane and seal .... Now working on 7 ash logs .... this is more fun then I planned on it being!

Yup it is. Ever hear of C A D chainsaw acwasishion disorder; ya know -- having to build an additional room on your shed for the chainsaw collection growth. It has happened for me in milling stuff. Jumped from a ms-170 to a ms460 then added 066 needing rings an 046 for a dual power bar then 661c with a ported cylinder. The 460 got a 25" bar swapped before it was paid for. Then had to have a 36" followed by a 50" cannon "just in case" when the cannon was found to be sooooo good it was followed by a 60" cannon again " in case" when I used the 60" on a stump & a larger slice required a longer bar I kept on the lookout for a six foot bar. Now I have an unused Forester six foot with a Stihl semi-skip chain and an Oregon skip chain to fit. I'm sharpening the chains for the 60 in prep for a burl a man has had a few years with no idea how to get it cut into usable slabs.
You may find,as I have, it keeps growing on ya
