Guys, I need some help here. Fresh rebuild, only 1/2 tank through the saw and the owner tells me it crashes. Upon disassembly I find both clutch and flywheel nuts loose and key is sheared. I tear it all the way down and find some strange damage on the inner bearing surface of the rod journal; see the attached pictures. The rod had a noticeable rock side to side even though all of the roller bearings were in place and the bolts were torqued to the proper specs. Does anyone know where I can find the crank dimensions? I want to see if the journal diameter is worn out or if I can rebuild this with a new rod and bearings. IMG_0738.JPGIMG_0739.JPG

I dont have a spec for the crank but If the journal on the crank is still smooth and not pitted like that rod then you should be fine with a new rod and bearing. Parts for those are everywhere and cheap. If in doubt, just pick up a used crank.
