I have a question. How would an electric carburator respond if you put on a pipe, expensioncamber to the engine? Best Regards Bjorn

I have wondered the same thing myself. If the porting and pipe was geared to work right around the limiter if it would be nutty or slow or what.

When you do a simple Muffler mod the carburator Will correct the fuel curv. so I think it would do the same With a pipe. But a pipe is alot of work to make and calculation so i want to be sure before I build one.

Just get someone to swap a pipe from a 66 to a 661. That should give you some feedback.

So I forgot my ingineering hat back in the truck but.....its still a carb and limited by a jet and the amount of air that passes over the sensor.... so it will allow "some" more flow due to better scavenging but it will be within a range the Germans ungineered in the first place. So at best a little more powah and a much better sound. Did the pipe help the chain sharpener do its thing better ?
