I checked with a boss here, he said post up.

Looking for someone within driving distance.
I'm an hour North of Pittsburgh Pa.
Husky 51 I've had since new. I believe the aftermarket cylinder needs cut.
Ten tanks of gas through it and it just don't have the balls it should.
This will likely lead to more saw work for you.

Surely with all the gear heads here one or more are close enough not to play mail man ha.

Ditch the AM head. I got an OEM 55 head I can send you.

If you are still looking for a builder we have a running list of builders and their location in this thread. They are all in good standing with this site and anyone of them are recommended. Dont think we listed the town they are in, just state but it gets you closer to what you were looking for...

Thanks. I've been taking my time, keeping my eyes and ears open, and collecting parts.
And trying to keep my mouth shut and learn the ropes here.
The aftermarket rebuild went ten tanks and I shut it down. I learned there.

I now have several p and c, a oem carb that should get a rebuild, I "believe" other major components are good. I could buy the seals bearings gaskets etc, but maybe should let the builder do that himself rather than dump on him a hodge podge mix.
I do not think I myself am qualified to do the bottom end.

A question I keep thinking is.
Is the husq 55 worth porting?

And I may have asked wrong in the beginning of this post.
I should have asked the above and.
Who has tools and exp. for/with the 55?

Was really hoping to get someone local, try and build lasting trust as I have other saws, but looks like not available.
I do have a mailman though.

That's enough yacking for me on here today, thanks everyone.
