I’ve built eight ‘kits’ from Farmertec. They all have their problems. Range in ‘pile of chit’ to ‘oh my goodness that is nice.’

MS361 x 2, MS660 x3, 038, Husky 365 & MS200t.

You will need to be on your toes and not just a parts changer. [emoji6]

I'll take a closer look and give it a shot in the morning. Thank you. I know you've done a bunch of these kit saws. The threads you've done definitely helped when I built the 440 kit.

If I were still working full time, I would agree with you, but I probably have more disposable time than you. So, when Grand Kids are not available, etc. I play with these things. Good thing I don't have a time frame, when I get frustrated I just put it away for a while. But I have also been rewarded with some that run pretty decently.

Yeah with overtime, school, homework, and young kids I have had to step back and look at how I use my down time. I'm man enough to admit I spent too much of it focusing on my wants but this year I have been working on that.

I love trick/optical illusion pictures like that. You stare at the picture for about a minute and then you begin to see the form of a chainsaw in the picture - how do they do that?

I like the batman endorsement & 'nothing but professional' claim to describe the saw. I just missed out on a new 372 clone an Aussie importer that has a 82cc or 92cc displacement. At $105 delivered new it would have been cheap fun H.P. I'll get one when the right deal pos up again.

I was going to import a couple of the baumr ag turns out they are just different plastics on the same chassis we get here.
I read on the chainsaws Australia fb page
Several guy's are running
The baumr ag and mtm saws
The 82cc and 92cc
When they took them apart they were
Actually 65cc and 72cc
Many of the guy's like them and run them a lot.
A few had issue's.
I've heard less complaints about the 365/372 clones than the stihl clones
Maybe because they have been making them longer than the other clones?

About 10 years ago they were great saws to mod. Convert the bolt tubes on the muffler to outlets (quiet muffler mod), drop on a ported BB jug to bump up the displacement to 77cc, use an OEM wrist pin bearing, a decent chain and then mod the Chinese Zama twin jet carb - and the saw was a ripper that impressed everyone that tried it.

The Chinese could easily manufacture something like that for sale. All they have to do is change a few of their manufacturing processes.

Imagine getting a strong, reliable 77cc saw for about $200. - They couldn't keep up with the demand.

Yup it was a baumr-ag style clone. In the eBay add they claim there not just big bores but have properly increases transfer ports etc. However these guys don't ever let the truth get in the way of selling their saws. Damn shame if they aren't really 82 & 92cc displacements, now that I think about it I was probably foolish to think we could get something from China that you guys couldn't. I do like the intake and filter setup compared to the low top clowns. They also come with clown Tsumura RSN bars! :cunaooooo:

It's rather amazing that the Chicoms could probably build the best saws in the world and still be way cheaper than anybody else if they wanted to. I still wouldn't buy one, but I bet they would wrap up the homeowner market and a large part of the pro market, even if it was largely making saws for existing marques. Far as I know all the big OPE companies already have factories there including Stihl, Makita/Dolmar, and Briggs & Stratton.
