Anybody know anything about the late model CS2150? I'm eyeing one that is coming up for auction that is in good shape. I have read the early ones had problems, this is a later version that looks like a Husky in red.

good saws put a flat top piston in it base gasket delete. Muffler mod trim limiters on carb. and you will have a very nice fire wood saw very close to a 2153/346xp. I was eyeing one also probably the same one. I will withdraw my interest.

Just like a husky 350. Number one problem was the plastic clamp on the intake boot for the cyclinder on early models . Easy fix.

Sounds good, I'll put a bid on it. Never had a Swede before, always USA and German. I think the square recoil housing with diagonal fins looks really cool and is a Jred signature. It sucks that the 22 series saws got away from it.

I'm also glad that Husky has the decency to keep the brand alive with a complete product line and website, even if it's just a rebrand. Yeah, I'm talkin' about you Makita and your sorry attempt to bury the Dolmar name!

Looks like the 2150 uses a .325 chain. All my other saws use 3/8. Would it be possible to switch? You get more options with 3/8 anyway.

image.jpg Well, looks like I won the 2150 for $140.00. This is my first Jonny and I'm pretty stoked about it. Is this saw a twin to a particular Husky saw? Maybe the 450?

@Mattyo has done alot of work with and made videos of the 350 series.

And a jred2250 will be related to a 450.

Yep, it's a red 350.
I made one black.

You did great @ $140. Like mentioned, a flat top piston wakes it up along with a riser base sanding to get squish 18-20. Get a 346 muff bracket and mod it to fit. Those muffler bolts are notorious for coming loose.

Thanks so much folks. Will have a look under the hood and check it out thoroughly soon as it shows up. Anybody know how many HP these were rated at? Will be interested to compare it to my Dolmar 5105.
