Selling my 2016 jonsered 2253, At12 carb with latest updates the last time it was checked a few months ago, had around 40 hours on it I believe. It’s had the muffler gutted, decomp plugged, timing advanced and the squish has been tightened to .018. I put a larger 562 spike on it as well. It’s a strong runner. Looking to get $400 shipped PHO.

Love mine, how come you’re selling it?
Honestly wanna try something new, I find myself using the 562 a bit more. Nothing wrong with it, it’s a excellent little saw and I’ll probably regret letting it go. Was considering trying a dolly 421 and get it ported or open muffler... don’t laugh lol. 40-60-90 makes more sense. What the heck I’ll probably be back to a 50 and 70 again when cad flares up again. Lol

Mason I'm a big fan of a 40-60-80 plan!

Dang, I have a great condition 421 that was made before they moved production to China. I'd totally try to work a deal with you, but my wife loves that saw. It's small, quiet, easy to start and she uses it a lot in the apple orchard. She'd be less than pleased if I swapped it for a different saw. :(

With the exception of my jonsered 670 I would have a fleet of those if possible!

I have a German made dolmar branded 421 too but mines not currently for sale. But everything I have is for sale at the right price!

Mason, I’d keep the 2253. It’s probably physically smaller than the 421...I know it’s narrower. Weight wise it felt about the same to me. I kept my ported 421 around until I bought a 2252 and 545. Those with a mm had a little more grunt than the ported 421 (especially the 2252 being advanced and mm).

Don’t get me wrong, a 421 is a great saw but it’s about the same size with less motor.

I know I had posted some picks comparing a 026, 545, 5100 and 421 in size, but I can’t find much using the search feature on my phone.

For the money the 421 is a great saw.

I was a big cheerleader of the 421, but I found myself running more 50cc saws. I kept the 421 around for my dad to run, but he isn’t cutting much anymore (he just gets me too). There’s nothing wrong with one and ported, mine was pretty impressive. I just preferred Running other saws when presented with limbing and cutting smaller branches.
