Does anyone know if a worm gear from any other saw besides the 2083 and poulan pro 475 will work on a Jonsered 2077? Or maybe an oil pump and worm gear combo.

Will a Stihl worm work, on the crank?
The wire spring part could easily be altered or swapped out for another model.
Just a thought.
Good Luck

Talking in a thread at my chainsawrepair site and group on it. We are going to see about using a 3D printer for the plastic ones. You could have someone with a lathe make a metal one used before they updated to the winged one.
