We did run into some problems. Randy said he didn't take much material off, but we set the cylinder (Randy's on the right) next to a stock one, and we all thought it looked a little on the small side. And there was a lot of left over stuff too.

Here's the leftovers.

OK, bad jokes, I know.

Getting ready to start. Short block gleaming in the sun.

Here's the crew of miscreants who thought I didn't get any pictures of them. Rick on the right, Jesse in the middle, and Joel who did all the actual assembly work on the build. He's an A+ tech, and I was running all over the place like usual. Chasing all the little parts that you always need with these projects.

Some more of just another day in the shop...……

Guy brought in this 385 and was running it with this clutch cover. But he brought it in for a bad throttle cable. He's getting a new cover too. Think any of the clone saws could hold up to this kind of treatment? LOL Sure doesn't have a Hyway top end on it. :)

Speaking of top ends, Joel made use of this 372 top end. Was ported by someone out on the west coast; we think Madsens? Nothing to lose, so he figured he'd stick it on there despite the broken fins and run it. That was 5 years ago. Cut a lot of firewood, and big wood with it and that saw really rips. Shows no signs of burning up. And...……...it's not a Hyway. :)

I believe that's the "East Coast" Special Cover designed for quick "Chip" removal. Lots of tree guys use them as "noodle" saws. As in "Chinese" noodles

And GW from OKC thought this 385 was one was in rough shape. At least the clutch cover is complete.
