You telling Al, " Yikes, no good " isn't helping him. He knows what oil he is supposed to use. He did it so he could test the saw and make sure it was in order in what little free time he has.You can use whatever oil you want. Your saw.
I just checked, K&N doesn't list a foam filter specific oil. Only a gauze filter oil.

And fix your pull cord. Saw will start easier if you do.
