I have a 2010 372xp that was a partial clone IE: flywheel side case, crank flyhweel coil are all oem and then the other side case, cylinder are AM. the carb on it is a walbro though I do not know enough to be able to tell specifically which type.

I am getting ready to put a good used OEM cylinder & piston onto the franken saw and would like to know if there is a better version of the carb for the 372 and if so what/how should I order for it? I do not want one for hot modded saw just one that delivers at stock or slightly higher (I will be gasket deleting and muff modding). Thanks for any advice or help in advance.

know of any writeups for adapting one over?

Just need to relock & trim the boot, a longer impulse line, & trim the throttle cable cover at the carb or use the 390 flange/cable holder.

Xtorq carbs are a good upgrade with a 390 intake. I think that's what the package is.

This^^ plus the the x torq filter holder and choke lever. 385/390 carb will work with this set up also. Trim the divider out of holder/elbow.

Rwj4 carb is clocked differently than a 372 carb. An rwj4 and a 390 boot works well with a bit of trimming. Cant remember all the details for sure. I didn't need to trim the cable sheething because mine was an xt

Here's my 371 with the rwj carb. You also need the longer carb bolts.

Probably not worth the added expense on a mostly stock saw if you have to buy everything new.

There's a Tillotson carb that's a direct swap for the OE 372. On a stock saw that's probably the way to go.
