Here's a side burner project I've been stabbing at once every other blue moon or so. The intake needed enlarged a little to fit a larger boot.
It had been running the 1128 series intake boot, but it was collapsing in the middle from the awkward angle.
The 1122 series boot is a much better fit, but the clamp end is just a bit too large.
To remedy that, I used a piece of plastic tube to build mold.

I glued it to the cylinder..20180127_213818.jpg

Then filled with regular JB weld.

I'll let that cure for a few days or however long it'll be before I can get back to it.

What saw is this Jimbo?
It's an 024 super. The 066 boot decided to buckle up in the middle after being put together. The damn thing looked good mocking it up. Oh well... luckily the 045/056 boot fits without collapsing from the angle.

Same here, the fit after you chop the box up.

Can't recall what boot I used though.

Is this strictly a run for three cuts at a time and done saw or could it be run for a tank of fuel with cool down in between. Looks like it would embarrass some quite a bit larger stock saws.
