First time Ive seen the inside of this saw,
and I must say am not impressed, can't see
it staying true, too light a casing, there is only
so much you leave out to save weight, and if this
saw stays together I will be surprised.

So, here's a quick video of the 462 slightly ported (only leveled up transfers and some smoothing and widening on the exhaust) with a deleted base gasket. My machining mate had no time to work on the cylinder last week (because of flu and holiday) so i decided to make an intermediate step with the saw (normally i do not).

i was throttle happy but's so much fun with that saw :D

The saw is a blast to work with! :babeando: Power to weight is amazing, even only after all these free mod's! It's hard to find a reason to touch a stock 562xpg again after this enjoyment, with all the 72cc power at the same weight :nusenuse:

Now, i hope my mate has some time to set up the squish and base cut this week. I want more :b1:
hey steph,
how is stage 2 coming along? :aplastao:
hanging out to see the full potential of this saw.:D

Lighter does not necessarily mean weaker, I'm betting it will be a solid saw.

He must finish 3 x 395 before he can finish the 462, so we must wait a Little Bit.

Vince, what is your 462 doing?
Does it get stronger with every Tank?

OK. we sit patiently waiting then :)

not much.. sitting on the shelf with 661, having a Bud, chillin.
still on the first tank. its very good on the fuel!
hoped to run a tank or 2 thru it tomorrow.
the only way i get time up on the 661 is via milling, otherwise it would have 1/4 of the hours on it.
i have too many saws in the small to medium range and hard to get the hours on them lol

But you must admit Vince it's better to be looking at them than looking for them ;)

And I hope its a solid saw too, it just physically looks lighter in
the bottom end department, and if it flexes it will soon cause failure
to the top end, and most likely at least bearing damage to the lower end,
bearing damage may even preceed top end failure and be blambed for it all.
But when they are ported and burried in some logs, I for one will
be very pleased to be wrong.
