Next to my bench at the shop, Oregon
I have 5 RA`s and the other 4 are all darker yellow with one having a distinct orange tint to it, like a sun bleached oranges on a tree.

Exposure to the sun and elements will cause the paint to fade on outer covers, look inside the clutch cover or under the top engine cover to find the best preserved original color.

It wasn`t when I got it but it is now, two stage Boyesan reeds, reed block opened a smidge, port work and timing advance, carb bored and slightly enlarged jets.
What carb are you running on your p62? Right now I'm running a sdc 80 on mine.

I need an sdc80 to try on my P62's as both are dogs. Anyone
got an extra to spare. :D
Even with the sdc 80 I would still like more power. My p61 western is by far more powerful. I think I'm going to do some grinding on the cylinder.

That's how I feel about my P62's. Both run excellent but lacking the power
that my other big P series have. I have P 60's and 61's that run and pull great.
The 655's I have are the same but the 62's have a noticeable difference in the
lack of power.
Is there a better carb than the sdc80?

Got one I can try on a 62.

The carb alone makes very little difference, the extra work is what allows the saw to make more power. The carb I modified I found while cleaning out our local Husqvarna dealer`s closed shop, havn`t seen another like it.

Explain the extra work that makes a P62 run better or equal to a stock P60 or 61.

I'm curious to hear as well. I'm willing to bet some work on the transfers. He did mention a boost port as well.

Does anyone have the carb setting specs for the RA model? Having trouble tuning the top end. Has pretty good pull to it though. Especially with a 32 inch .404 chain.
I wish I could help, but all I have messed with is the p series. @Basher should be able to help you out though.
