I love my 50cc saws.

I get into a lot of small limb wood and love the maneuverability and light weight of a 50cc. This was a standing dead American Elm. Prime ready to burn goodness. The big saws come in handy too. This is all one tree. Limb wood goes to me for the freestanding stove and biggies go the boiler at my brothers or grandparents.

Well, good thing You had that Dolmar PS-5105 to get the job done!

I find myself liking my XS5000 more with every cut I make.

I just had my echo 520 out tonight and cut a load. Was cutting about 18 inch rounds of ash while my boy was picking on the smaller trees with hie echo 670. I forgot how light the 50 cc saws are. I been wrestling some of the old macs lately so the newer saws seem pretty light. Nonpic of my saw but got a pic of the wood.

The old Mac’s are like weight training for 50cc saws...otherwise they would feel heavy! Lol

On almost every tree, they do 80-100% of the work. Even the big trees get limbed with a 50cc saw before bucking the trunk.

The "go-to" saws that I really love and usually flip a coin for a selection:
(1) Husqvarna 353 and 350
(2) Stihl 026 PRO
(3) Makita 520i
Lately I restored an old Echo CS-4500 and I may have to add it to the list after I give it a good workout. For years, my Echo CS-3900 fit the bill, even though it's smaller than the 50cc class.

If you love your 50 cc saws, get a ms241 or Dolmar 421... you’ll marry them lol. The 50’s will become the new 70cc saws lol
